Farmers To Buy AIG’s Personal Auto Group

Farmrs Insurance Group of Companies is buying American International Group’s Personal auto Group. 

The acquisitions price is $1.9 billion and is expected to close no later than the third quarter of 2009.

This acquisition by the Farmers Group will position Farmers as the third-largest over-all, personal lines insurer in the U.S. and as the largest auto insurer in several states..
